Our Guarantee Policy

High Wycombe Painter & Decorator is committed to providing high-quality painting services and ensuring customer satisfaction. We stand behind our workmanship and materials, and this guarantee outlines our commitment to you.


1. What is covered:


This guarantee covers defects in workmanship and materials directly related to the painting services provided by us as outlined in our quote. This includes:


  • Peeling, blistering, or flaking paint: Due to improper surface preparation or application.
  • Cracking or excessive fading: Resulting from defective paint materials or application.
  • Uneven coverage: Caused by inadequate application techniques.


2. Guarantee Period:


This guarantee is valid for 2 years from the date of project completion, as indicated on the final invoice.


3. What is not covered:


This guarantee does not cover:


  • Damage caused by normal wear and tear, abuse, negligence, accidents, or acts of God (e.g., floods, earthquakes, extreme weather).
  • Damage caused by structural movement, settling, or pre-existing conditions not disclosed by the customer.
  • Damage caused by moisture intrusion, leaks, or condensation originating from sources other than the paint application itself.
  • Fading or discoloration due to sunlight exposure, which is a natural process. (Excessive premature fading would still be covered)
  • Touch-ups or repairs performed by anyone other than us.
  • Minor imperfections that are not readily visible from a normal viewing distance.
  • Any materials supplied by the customer.
  • Any surfaces that the customer requested to not be properly prepared.
  • Any rotting wood, or other damaged substrates, that were not replaced prior to painting.


4. Claim Procedure:


To make a claim under this guarantee, you must:


  • Notify High Wycombe Painter & Decorator in writing within 7 days of discovering the defect.
  • Provide a detailed description of the defect, including photographs if possible.
  • Present a copy of the original quote and final invoice.


5. Resolution:


Upon receipt of a valid claim, High Wycombe Painter & Decorator will:


  • Inspect the affected area within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Determine the cause of the defect.
  • If the defect is covered by this guarantee, we will, at our discretion, repair or repaint the affected area at no cost to you.
  • We will provide a time frame for the repairs to be completed.


6. Limitation of Liability:


Our liability under this guarantee is limited to the cost of repairing or repainting the affected area only. We are not liable for any consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of use, inconvenience, or property damage.


7. Transferability:


This guarantee is transferable to subsequent owners of the property, provided that we are notified in writing within 30 days of the property transfer.


8. Governing Law:


This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement or its subject matter or formation.
